Past Lives Therapy (PLT)
Who am I? Why am I here? What is my highest purpose?
Have you ever felt drawn to other times and places, wondered if there is more to this life? Did you ever feel you already knew someone you just met?
Do you suffer from any phobias or sudden physical ailments impossible to find a cause for?
Then guided past lives regression – tuning into your subconscious to access soul memories of other experiences - can be a valuable therapeutic tool for practical and spiritual illumination and for enhancing the quality of your present life. Answers to your questions and feelings will be obtained through your own direct experience and will be remembered.
The information obtained can help resolve issues, relationship problems, release fears and blocks, enhance self-confidence and talents and make profound connections. Journeying to past, parallel, or future lifetimes can also provide high adventure and unusual insights, along with clearer understandings of your life's blueprint and goals. No two sessions are alike because each soul has a unique history of existence, waiting to be recalled.
Fundamentals of PLT
Our reactions and the way in which we respond to problems are rooted in the past. In therapy, we work to bring old memories to consciousness, so that the old repressed material may be seen in the light of the present and we may choose our responses, rather than be driven to react from old patterns.
PLT is a short term intensive therapy that resolves psychic residues from previous lives, utilizing a specialized form of active remembering or imagination undertaken by the participant, while guided into a relaxed, inner focused state of awareness. This deeper exploration of the psyche, where all experiences are subconsciously recorded, allows a person to understand their own unique inner myths and attitudes that unconsciously influence the emotional, physical and motivational system where life scripts, patterns and problems are replicated.
PLT embraces the entire human being and touches the deepest levels of their essence. PLT is focused on pertinent patterns or core issues. All problems are merely symptoms of core issues, based upon a belief structure involving self-judgment, usually formed in a prior existence. Often these patterns and affirmations that are lifetimes old are reinforced during the pre and perinatal experience, birth and childhood. At such times they set up the lifetime for a repetition of former hurts and disasters. After reviewing the childhood years, the client can then become aware that this repetition was determined by previous experiences and that these experiences are no longer needed and can be replaced by more appropriate and productive ones.
With past-life work, patterns begin to emerge that give special meaning to existence and timing to all trauma, suffering, and life challenges. All of these come to be seen as unique opportunities for making a shift in attitude toward current life patterns. Ego decisions made in times of stress are imprinted on our subconscious, similar to programs in a computer. The programs inserted during the dying process are especially important. Returning to the last conscious thought before leaving the body reveals the intention that can be set and carried into the next or present life – known as psychic residue or cellular memory.
Goals
Beneath each symptom is energy-sustained guilt. The goal of PLT is to identify the first sources of guilt – the point of entry. Going back to when patterns were set for each lifetime; when vows were made, decisions, judgments, etc… seeing what lessons were chosen and whether they were learned... all facilitate a return to wholeness and learning how to interpret and understand details of the present life in a new manner.
True healing – not just the alleviation of symptoms – depends on confronting the root cause of guilt which causes our self-judgments – our karma. Such awareness heals body, mind and soul.
Inner Guidance Accessing
While in the relaxed, alpha / subconscious state of mind, one may go to the Light Space between births, the place we return to after passing from each lifetime. Upon our arrival, we reunite with our soul group and Master Guide and evaluate that particular life. One is able to communicate with higher wisdom, guides, angels and loved ones. Questions regarding life circumstances and issues can be answered and the messages received are often quite profound.
In this space, one may also access the blueprint for their present incarnation, beginning with the reason for choosing one’s parents and environment. Upon examination of our original intentions and present results, the blueprint may be altered, by choosing to release any course of action deemed no longer suitable, then holding an image of a more desired one.
All information sought for and obtained is received directly, through the client’s own experience, and is remembered upon returning to the here and now.
PLT Facts
Q.Who can benefit from PLT?
A. Anyone can, if they have an awakened intuition and the desire and willingness to take responsibility for creating their own life. It takes patience and perseverance to work through the patterns that are uncovered.
Q. What traits are helpful?
A. Introversion, with the resulting ability to go into altered states, is necessary. Fortunately, it is at least in part a learned ability.
Q. Who cannot benefit from PLT?
A. Anyone who clings to overly rigid ideas, has a fear of exposure, has religious conflicts, or has completely lost touch with their emotions. Consistent blamers; people who are stuck in guilt and a need to be victimized, to the extent that they are unwilling to take responsibility for their lives, but choose instead to see themselves as undeserving victims. Psychotics or borderline personalities need to first undergo more conventional ego strengthening therapy. People with much present anxiety are strongly recommended to first undergo one to three sessions of rapid eye technology, after which they can be easily guided into former lifetime memories.
Q. How many sessions are needed?
A. It depends upon one’s goals. Some people are merely curious and desire to find out if they indeed can be regressed and, if so, what they have been. They may already suspect they have lived in certain countries or times, especially if vivid dreams have been noticed or deja vu experiences have occurred. One to two sessions are usually all that are desired for the time being, however, people often develop curiosity later and return for more insights. Three to six sessions are recommended for those desiring to thoroughly reconnect with and clear predominant negative influences from the past and to integrate the insights into the mind/body/spirit and to also anchor in any positive attributes already developed in other lifetimes that are desired.
Stages of a PLT Session
Stage I: Identification
First is identification with and replaying of significant past-life issues and/or traumas. It is not necessary to make it happen; simply allow the images to come in, without analyzing. This stage involves being in the past-life experience. As one gradually slips into the body, emotions and mind of the person one is imaging, one often feels the hurts, the alienation, the love, the terror of that life. Emphasis is placed on these key moments and also the death process.
Stage II: Search for Patterns
Scanning the lifetime just left and others, a person emerges from the role he/she has been reliving and can observe and evaluate the information received. There follows a search for recurrent negative emotional response patterns between past and current lifetimes and their release through mutual forgiveness, when appropriate. The individual is able to interpret and understand details of the present life in a new manner. He/she realizes their true nature, as distinguished from the role being played. Associations are recognized and insights occur that greatly expedite the learning process. Now able to experience present time reality without confusing it with feelings from the distant past, survival fear is reduced and one can live more fully, consciously and completely in the present.
Stage III: Transformation, Integration, Reframing
Material that has been brought to the surface can be restructured, as positive and affirmative emotional patterns are discovered that can be integrated as alternative models for present and future responses. Past-life scripts can be released or even rewritten. By now viewing life as holotropic, a person begins to shift attitudes and adopts a wider and more objective perspective regarding past traumas and events, psychological scripts, particular parents as necessary factors for growth, and attraction or repulsion for certain individuals. For many, there is a realization of the nature of the One, which leaves a person changed forever.
Physical Influences
The body functioning, its health and illnesses, often has roots in the experiences of other lifetimes. Consciously held symptoms and patterns are often related to deeper primary issues in symbolic or metaphorical ways. Traumatic experiences from earlier events, including past lives, imprint a karmic residue in a complex that becomes so repressed as to be embodied psychosomatically. These patterns are an expression of the individual’s unconscious attempts to uncover and resolve the underlying issues. It is the emotional charge that causes the problem. The etheric body carries the emotional pattern of what happens in the physical body of a past life and programs the next one with these unresolved issues, where they remain lodged in the body.
Allopathic healing is difficult when the perception of the body is limited to its condition and experience in the current lifetime. This is proven by how tenaciously a symptom is retained in spite of medical intervention, if the psychological cause is not found and resolved.
After bringing the traumatic incident(s) to consciousness, there is often a strong cathartic release and remission of symptoms. Recalling and studying past lives, along with therapeutic processing, integration and reframing - replacing of old beliefs with positive choices – serves to alleviate issues more permanently. Such awareness heals body, mind and soul.
Birth Marks
Birth marks are located at the same place on the present day body where fatal blows, stabbings or other wounds were incurred during past lives.
In a study involving hundreds of clients, Sylvia Browne (Past lives, Future Healing) found a 90% correlation between birthmarks and a serious or fatal injury from a past life. “There was the college professor with a long, slender reddish shadow across his mid-thigh, whose life in 16th century China ended when he bled to death from a leg amputation… A retired seamstress had a diamond-shaped discoloration on her left shoulder, exactly where an arrow had pierced her when she was a Sioux Indian warrior in the mid 1800s... A horse trainer revealed a past life as an accused Salem witch for which she was hanged, and at the end of the reading, she showed me a 6” white birthmark across her throat… A policeman had a ¼” wide strip on the back of his head where, since birth, no hair had ever grown, which ‘just happened’ to correspond to the spot where a jealous lover had buried a hatchet in his skull in turn-of-the-centuryEgypt… A recording artist, whose right ankle bore a dark, angry slash, regressed to a nightmarish life inEngland in 1789, in which his hands and feet were tied to a bed for months at a time in an asylum”
The other 10% of clients did not have any birthmarks and had already resolved any severe traumas their bodies had experienced in past lives during each such lifetime – their ‘karma’ was balanced and no physical or emotional issues were left to be dealt with in the next life.
